A Walk with the Friendly Four-Legged Locals of Nara Park, Nara, Japan

20th of November 2017

Beautiful gardens, historic temples, the world's largest wooden building and plenty of friendly deer (especially friendly if you have deer biscuits).

  • Location: Nara Park, Nara, Japan.
  • Start or End: I started at Kintetsu-Nara Train Station and finished at JR Nara Train Station (I would have finished at Kintetsu-Nara Train Station as it is closer, but I wanted to travel to Tenri for my next walk).
  • Length: 8.0km (5.0mi)
  • Grade: Easy, there are a few areas with stairs and small hills, but the walk is rather flat and fully paved.
